So, against my wonderful husband's wishes, I decided not to host a private blog anymore. I have been so touched and enriched by the stories and lives of people that I don't even know, that I figured to lift the "private" ban. We'll see how it goes.
Also...I don't get Facebook. Can somebody educate me?

Hi!! I really don't get Facebook either - all I really use it for is to track down long lost friends! :)
Your children are absolutely gorgeous!
I don't use Facebook either although I have friends on it. I just don't get the point of it...
I just came across your blog randomly and loved it. (I thought you might be an Emily I know so I clicked on a comment of yours - um, you're not that Emily.) Anyway, I have to say that I think your blog is one of the best I've come across. I try not to spend too much time reading about people I don't know, but you have a lot to offer. I LOVE your grateful list on the side and the funny things your kids say. You also do photography!! I'm looking into taking a class myself. I'm also excited to read more of your archived posts. Thanks for blogging!
P.S. Being a recent facebook member myself, I believe the main idea is just people getting in touch. The premise it was started on is sort-of a online yearbook. I have found people from high school (old boyfriends), ward people that have moved away, and other long lost friends. I don't know that I will really spend much time there, but it's interesting enough. :)
Facebook is a mystery to me too. I think most people use it to find people they have lost touch with. It also has a lot of games and things to send people like e-cards and quizzes. It's a great way to waste a lot of time.
facebook is not difficult. come over and I'll show you. It's really quite dumb...but very cool for connecting with everyone you've ever known in your entire life. :)
Facebook is one of the easiest ways to waste time online because there's absolutely nothing worthwhile on it, yet you spend time trying to FIND something worthwhile. Half the time I get on there and end up mad and remembering that I kind of hate it. But I do like the superpoke feature, where you can "throw sheep at" or "hula hoop with" your friends. That kind of cracks me up.
