Goodbye 2011...OR...A Post as Long as a Year

As 2011 comes to a close, I realize what a terrible blogger I've been. So, here are a few highlights that I missed:

Greg (I mean Austin) lost the battle of the Pinewood Derby:

Someone stopped sucking her thumb (in what could possibly be my biggest mistake of motherhood):

Checked out the zoo (with Nana and Maddie):

Painted our faces (occasionally, on purpose):

Tumbled a bit:


Swam a bit:

Played some baseball:

Did a little babysitting (I'm a really good babysitter, especially when chocolate is involved):

Everybody had a birthday:

A perfect day on the lake with some great friends:

Saw some dinosaurs:

Hung out in the backyard. It's small (that's an understatement), but the kids like it.

Paige may or may not have brushed her hair this year:

Watched a little TV ("How to Train Your Dragon" and "Dinosaur Train" among the favorites).



We checked out some goblins with some great friends:

Spencer stole his first kiss:

And hiked to a few arches (Utah is truly a beautiful place to live)! We learned Spencer is part-monkey, and I am capable of walking miles (literally...miles) with a finger in my ear:

Got a new sister when Gavin married Amber in September:









Got to see my favorite singer with my favorite Marianne! Said Goodbye to Grandpa, but got to see family.

Enjoyed a Thanksgiving Tea Party with Miss Pie (Abby's "Tea Party Name" for Nana).

Watched Frosty (or "Bosty" as the twins call it) 348 times:
